Volunteer with BRAWS

Volunteers make this work possible, and there are lots of ways to get involved. Fill out the form below or contact our Volunteer Engagement Coordinator at volunteer@supportbraws.org to hear more about volunteer opportunities.

Hands-On Opportunities

Like to get moving while you help? We need help in the following areas:

  • On The Road: Supply pick-up and deliveries to shelters and schools.

  • In Our Office: Sorting & Packing Distributions. Assembling event materials. Mailings. Data entry.

  • In-Shelter: On-Site Fitting Events and shelter distributions.

  • Around Town: Event Set Up & Break Down.

In Our Shelters

Every distribution starts with a volunteer. Your time supports:

  • Shelter Distributions: New undergarments and menstrual products delivered to dozens of shelters across Northern Virginia.

  • On-Site Fitting Events: Our team visits shelters to help clients find their size and leave with new, properly fitting bras and underwear.

Are you a people person? Maybe you’d like volunteering during our events with the following tasks:

  • Check In Desk

  • Raffle, Drink Ticket Sales

  • Set Up & Break Down

  • Securing Raffle or Auction Donations

In Our Schools

Students show up ready when they have what they need:

  • Public School Programs: Products for middle and high school students and their families, shared through school food banks and counselors.

  • Sports Bra Collections: A special focus on sports bras, so young athletes can take part in every opportunity.

Spread the Word

Love to share what you know? You can help spread the word by:

  • Helping at the BRAWS booth at community appearances like Farmers Markets and Festivals

  • Creating promotional and resource materials

  • Creating content for our social media channels

  • Hosting a Drive with your own friends

In Our Community

When a need comes up, BRAWS answers. Your time supports:

  • Humanitarian Support: Products for organizations serving foster children, unhoused neighbors and disaster survivors.

  • Sports Bra Collections: BRAWS host drives with a special focus on sports bras, so all women can participate.

Thank You Distribution Volunteers
